How to play .mkv files on your Playstation 3
Couple day ago I’ve downloaded some movie from internet which I’ve wanted to stream to my Playstation 3, but when I extracted the rar file i saw that the movie extension was .mkv. Since watching mkv on Playstation 3 is impossible, it’s not impossible to convert .mkv extension to avi or mpg. If you’re one of those people who are watching movies on your PS3 then you should definitely read this incredible article about How To Play MKV Files On Playstation 3.
Basically what you have to do is to download MKV2VOB, open the app and select which file you want to convert and where to save it.
Thanks Griffo for this great tutorial.

Search Engine for Programmers
If you are a programmer or a web developer who often needs to shuffle between writing code in multiple languages, check out searchco.de – this is an instant search engine for all programming related documentation and nothing else.
You type a function name and searchco.de will pull a list of all languages where that function is available along with the syntax and description. Alternately, you may prefix the function name with the language name – like php delete - to limit your search results to a particular language.
In addition to regular programming languages, searchco.de also indexes documentation for Windows and Linux commands.
However, if you are looking to search for code snippets or to debug problems in your existing code, Google’s Code Search is still your best friend. You can even find code using regular expressions, a feature that is not available inside Google’s web search.

How to setup secure and private Facebook browsing
On September 25, Nik Cubrilovic posted a terrific analysis looking at how Facebook uses cookies to track users even when they have signed out of the service. His findings about Facebook cookies tracking raises yet more red flags about subscriber privacy.
Dave Winer wrote a timely piece yesterday morning about how Facebook is scaring him since the new API allows applications to post status items to your Facebook timeline without a user’s intervention. It is an extension of Facebook Instant and they call it frictionless sharing. The privacy concern here is that because you no longer have to explicitly opt-in to share an item, you may accidentally share a page or an event that you did not intend others to see.
The advice is to log out of Facebook. But logging out of Facebook only de-authorizes your browser from the web application, a number of cookies (including your account number) are still sent along to all requests to facebook.com.
Even if you are logged out, Facebook still knows and can track every page you visit.
If you would like to secure your Facebook account, Nik Cubrilovic explains how to improve privacy, disable features where your Facebook information can be shared with third-party sites and finally setting up your browser for private sharing.
